Walked off the ship onto the dock to met up again with Betty & Geoff and collect our luggage. Picked up by Kenai Fjords Tour shuttle dropped our bags at our hotel and back to the dock for boarding of our cruise for the day. Board our boat the Alaskan Explorer at 9.30am for a 10am departure. Captain advise it could be ruff so kwells for Deb, Peter & Betty, just as well as it did get quite rocky. This is a full day cruise and we are due back at 5pm. This trip full of amazing sightings of Sea Otters, Orca Whales, Humpback Whales, Seals, Puffin Eagles and the highlight of the day up close to the North Western Glacier, surrounded by ice slurry and seals on the Ice floating in the water stayed close for about 1/2 with the engines off. So close we could hear and see it calving (sections of it falling) quite a breathe taking sight. Our Captain told us the only approx 250,000 people have ever been to this Glacier so we all feel very lucky to have this experience. Arrived back in Port around 5.30pm boys checked out the Charter Boat Catch of Halibut all hung up on the dock.
