Was decided that it was time for a sleepin. Alarms set for 7.30am breakfast in our room and bags packed as we are moving to the much larger Prymid Cabin with 2 bedrooms and larger living room as we have 2 more nights here. Housekeeping will shift our suitcases for us.
Headed into Jasper 9.30am to visit the Parks Canada office to help plan our stay in Jasper. Was decided that we would head out to Maligne Canyon and Lake. Arrived at the Canyon at 10.30am and walked the Canyon to just beyond the 4th Bridge. Canada's deepest Canyon so deep and very narrow in some places. Near the 3rd Bridge, ice was still on some of the Canyon walls and slowing being melted away by the snow melt above it. They use this Canyon in the Winter for Ice Climbing on the Ice Walls and they do Ice Walks. Lots of water fast flowing through the Canyon.

A short walk along the Mary Schaffer Loop at Maligne Lake, weather is coming in and starting to rain and getting very cool, cruises not opened for the year yet. Took pictures of the Boat House and cruise boats which they are getting ready to open the season. We then returned to the warm Lodge, for some lunch of Soup Potatoe & Cauiflower for the girls and Beef Stew for the boys. We all enjoyed the views of the Lake and snow capped Mountains from the warm restaurant.

On our way again at 2.30pm and came across our first "Moose Jam" on the way back into Jasper, Geoff and Pete hopped out to take some photo's. Followed by spotting a Black Bear near Medicine Lake, not much luck with photo's as it was amongst the trees. Back to Patricia Lakes Bungalows by 4.30pm this afternoon for a catch up on emails and to check into our new larger cabin 20 Prymid. It has 2 levels with living downstairs, bathroom and 1 bedroom with another bedroom upstairs,it is modern and nicely furnished, all very impressed. Great to have some extra room for the next couple of nights. It is a lovely spot here with Patricia Lake just a short walk from our cabin.

Dinner to-night at The Inn at the Best Western Hotel. Lovely dinner Meatloaf (Debbie & Peter), Lamb Shank (Geoff) & Seafood Leginne (Betty) the staff at the hotel very friendly. They told us that the Lake Maligne Crusies start tomorrow an we booked a spot on the 1pm cruise at the reception desk on our way out. Back to PLB and a quick walk down to the Lake very cold so back to the cabin and put the heater on and doing diaries email catch ups. Then we turned on the TV and heard about a bridge collapse on the I5 (Interstate main highway) in the US at Mt Vernon on the Skagit River near Bennington. We crossed that bridge 6 days ago on our way from Seattle to Revelstoke. It is the way Geoff and Peter had planned to go when returning the car to Seattle. It may have been caused by a large truck hitting it, some people injured but they don't belive any fatatlities amazing given how busy that I5 is.
